A bamboo cutting board deeply carved with a traditional Japanese Asanoha Sacred Geometry pattern on one side and an untouched, smooth bamboo surface on the other. Robust enough to hold up in the kitchen and decorative enough to sit as a center piece on your table.
"Asanoha depicts a geometric design of hemp leaves. Hemp has long been an important plant in Japan, being the primary clothing fiber along with silk, until the 17th century when cotton was introduced to Japan. It represents growth and good health. Since hemp grows quickly, it was customary to use Asanoha for children's items, in hopes that the child would also grow fast and strong."
